The last post
If a post has no green subject at the top, then it's sent from my iphone. Well, that one never sent about 3 days ago, so i checked my phone, and sure enough message failure. Sent it again to keep from having to type it out.
Brett Favre
Brett Favre has become one of the most hated players in the NFL and has betrayed our hearts as American Football fans.
Let's look back one year.
Brett Favre retires. He retires an All American hero. He was with the same team loyally for 17 years, and won 3 NFL MVP awards. Madden NFL 2009 decides to put him as the cover of their video game to break the "Madden curse" and put the first retired player as the cover instead of a current player in the NFL.
The "Madden curse" was instead transformed, instead of broken.
Fast forward 2 years, and look at him now. We could have looked back and said "Well, he just wanted one more year. Sure, I'll give him that." Instead, let's look at what his record was with the Jets. I don't mean the scoreboard. He never wanted to be associated with the team at all; he slept in a different hotel, and wouldn't have any association with the team unless they were practicing or playing. He wanted nothing to do with them. He was too far above them.
Sure, we'll give him one more year. Last time.
Going to the Vikings has secured his place in the "You're a douchebag NFL player" crowd, because he's such a prima donna now, instead of this good ol' country boy image he once had.
I'm sure I speak for a lot of NFL fans when I say... Let it go, Brett Favre. Retire. Next time.
