Black Friday and Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a blast spending time with family. Only thing that sucked was all the driving. Yummy A+++++++ food all around though!

Black Friday was pretty crazy. We only ended up doing around 22k in sales, which is less than last year. We thought that was bad for us but it was every store in our district that was lower. Still not good, but at least it wasn't only us. CRAZY busy though.

Sometimes I think that gravy could fall from the sky as rain in Texas and it would be the greatest day that texans have ever seen because their CHIKIN FRY would taste delicious with the all natural gravy rain pouring down onto it and we would actually have a yearly festival for it hoping every time that it would rain gravy again. Little kids would fill up water balloons with gravy and throw them at each other, old people would sip gravy out of ladels, and everyone would have a gravy of a time.

Got the floors all sanded down thanks to dad and April. I am super sore throughout my entire body now. I can't imagine how sore they are too.

Modern warfare 2 releasing at midnight tonight. Crazy busy. Biggest reserved game to date!

Friday, November 6, 2009

It's already started. I'm actually at work today and it has been awful. How long until Christmas is over?
Wow I am super awesome at updating this thing. Of course it is november now meaning my work is about 3 weeks away from becoming hell. Soccer moms yelling at me because I sold the woman in front of her in line a super Mario game she wanted, old grandmothers not knowing what they are even remotely looking for, and kids coming in clearly not taking their rittalin and destroying the store with hurricane force. My oh my, what Christmas time holds in store.

House Progress

Seems to be a lot of remodeling and fixing up of homes going on in our family right now! We got all of the carpets in the house ripped up, the bathroom completely demolished and ready to rebuild, and 2 of the rooms primed for painting. We have a HUGE amount of junk just basically sitting in the front yard and to the side of the house that I have to figure out something to do with. The dump is only open Thurs - Sat from what I am told, which is a real pain in the ass when I don't have a lot of time as it is to work on this place.

Friday, October 2, 2009

Long time no update. Been super busy working both jobs and working on the house when I'm off. We finally got all (most) of the trash out and are ready to start the real work of painting and ripping up carpets. Fun times!

The last post

If a post has no green subject at the top, then it's sent from my iphone. Well, that one never sent about 3 days ago, so i checked my phone, and sure enough message failure. Sent it again to keep from having to type it out.
Well I had a blow out coming back from granbury and a donut that just wouldn't cooperate by staying on the rim while I was driving. All on jacis birthday. And we were stranded on the side of the road for about 3 hours. Good times!

Brett Favre

Brett Favre has become one of the most hated players in the NFL and has betrayed our hearts as American Football fans.

Let's look back one year.

Brett Favre retires. He retires an All American hero. He was with the same team loyally for 17 years, and won 3 NFL MVP awards. Madden NFL 2009 decides to put him as the cover of their video game to break the "Madden curse" and put the first retired player as the cover instead of a current player in the NFL.

The "Madden curse" was instead transformed, instead of broken.

Fast forward 2 years, and look at him now. We could have looked back and said "Well, he just wanted one more year. Sure, I'll give him that." Instead, let's look at what his record was with the Jets. I don't mean the scoreboard. He never wanted to be associated with the team at all; he slept in a different hotel, and wouldn't have any association with the team unless they were practicing or playing. He wanted nothing to do with them. He was too far above them.

Sure, we'll give him one more year. Last time.

Going to the Vikings has secured his place in the "You're a douchebag NFL player" crowd, because he's such a prima donna now, instead of this good ol' country boy image he once had.

I'm sure I speak for a lot of NFL fans when I say... Let it go, Brett Favre. Retire. Next time.

I love the iPhone and I love AT&T but they really need to get their shit together to support iPhones receiving and sending picture messages. I hate having to go log into a website to see what someone sent me. Most of the time I don't cause it's just too much of a pain in the ass.
Been super busy lately as you can tell by lack of updates. I'm ready to win the lotto now so I don't have to work. I think all the other tickets and anticipation have been leading up to and been training for NOW when I win it.

I've moved myself and others so many times that I should become a professional mover. If I didn't hate it so much maybe I would.

Sundays at work only provide the most rude and inconsiderate people. What happened to this being God's day?

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Well things seem to be in an uproar in France! It looks like they will now let shops open on Sundays to "stimulate their economy". It is hard to think about having off on Sundays mandatory no matter what job you have. The article I read also said that 35 hour work weeks were the norm over there. I guess it's kind of a shock for me since every job
I've had I've always been the sucker who has to work Sundays. Oh, go see Gran Turino.
It's not very often I watch a movie and I am just blown away. That happened last night when I watched Gran Torino. If it isn't enough that Clint Eastwood is in it for you to see it then maybe the hilarious and over the top racism that he constantly spouts off will be. It had me completely hooked from start to finish and laughing most of the time. It's a great A+ movie that everyone should see once.

The iPhone is simply amazing. I can't remember how bored I was at all times before I got it. I can play games, watch movies or short videos, surf the Internet at about 90% capacity (some sites I can't watch flash movies), text everyone with amazing speed and ease, and do stupid but awesome things like update my blog! This is the part where apple sends me a free 3G S because I've sparked so many people to buy iPhones now I should get a free one! I'm a sell out, sure, but only to the stuff I actually believe in.
HOORAH! It worked! Now you all will know what I am thinking WHEREVER I AM!! It is a pretty scary thought I imagine for some of you.
Who knows, maybe this will work? Texting it from my phone to see if it will actually post to my blog!

Beer

Beer. Is. Delicious. The super smart scientists that invent all things that are great should come up with a beer that doesn't make you fat. They have that 64 calorie shit but I'm sure it tastes like a bear took a shit into an omelette. This is the part where I endorse my own personal favorite flavor of beer, Miller Lite. Not only does it taste like an angel's vagina, but it has the least calories of any lite beer. Miller Brewing company, feel free to send me a free case of beer.

Public Relations

I always thought being a PR agent would be a pretty good gig. You get to talk about your one area of expertise all day and make people believe you or your company have the best product in the world. Kinda like a pitchman, which is what field I was most interested in. Going to an expo, getting up on a stage, getting everyone's attention, and after your presentation making sure they form up lines to buy your #1 product. I bet that pays pretty well, and it can't be to terribly difficult if you are good at that sort of thing.

What if...

What if we lived in a world where everyone was 100% equal? Where no one had to work? Where money meant nothing. Where no one had to fight over anything, everything was given to everyone. You didn't have to want things you'll never get, cause you'd have them? Of course you could turn down the things you don't want, but who'd do that? That'd be boring. You'd never get to rub anything in to anyone, like "Hey, I just got a new TV. SUCKER!" cause they would have it too. And what would we all do with all our free time? I bet a lot more people would turn to drugs and alcohol. Some would think that'd be perfect in it's own right though.

Michael Jackson

Okay. Yes, he was a pop icon. Yes, he was very good at his music career. Yes, he was one of the most influential musicians of all time. Yes, he deserved his time in the spotlight both in life and in death. And yes, it's gone a bit far. The television networks are blowing up about his death and I understand why at first, but it's getting to the point where everyone you talk to is getting pretty damn annoyed with it all. Give us updates as they come along, don't give us constant stories and countless recaps when I'm sure there are much better things to report on. Like Billy Mays!

North Korea

Why the hell are they trying to stir up a bunch of nonsense right now? The last thing we need here in the U.S. is another war to go to. Or maybe that's what the government wants to happen, so they can mask spending money and passing bills where we don't want them to while the media blinds us with their war talk! Regardless, North Korea should really stand down. Getting into fights with the rest of the world isn't exactly a good idea, one wrong missile or nuke testing and they will be on the receiving end of a big bomb - Japanese WWII style, but bigger.

Introduction

I have lots of opinions. What you will find here is my personal take on all sorts of topics. Whether or not you agree, or whether or not I am right, remains to be seen.
